By placing an order, paying the shipping charge and security deposit, or clicking “I agree,” you agree to these Tool Rental Terms.

1. Rental Tool

These terms apply to the rental of a thin-walled spark plug socket for use on the Porsche 718 GT4, which you (“Renter”) will be renting from Jet Fuel Only LLC (“JFO”). Renter receives only a temporary right to possess and use the tool during the rental period, and shall have no other right, title, or interest in the tool. JFO shall remain the sole owner of the tool unless the rental converts to a sale as described below.

2. Shipping Costs and Security Deposit

Renter must pay a refundable security deposit of $175 before JFO ships the tool. In addition, Renter must pay $15 to cover the cost of shipping the tool to and from JFO. The total amount due before shipment is $190.

JFO does not charge a rental fee if the tool is returned within the initial 14-day rental period described below. JFO will supply a pre-paid return shipping label with the tool, which Renter must use to return the tool.

3. Rental Period, Late Returns, and Conversion to Sale

The initial rental period is 14 calendar days from the date the tool is shipped by JFO, starting with JFO's shipping date and ending on Renter's return shipping date. For purposes of these terms, "shipping date" means the date shown in the applicable carrier's tracking record as the shipment date.

To receive a full deposit refund of $175, Renter must return the same tool within the 14-day rental period, using the return label supplied by JFO, and the tool must satisfy the return requirements below.

If the tool is returned after the 14-day rental period but within 21 calendar days after JFO originally shipped the tool, JFO may deduct a $25 late charge from the security deposit and refund the remaining $150, provided the tool otherwise satisfies the return requirements below.

If the tool is returned after 21 calendar days but within 28 calendar days after JFO originally shipped the tool, JFO may deduct a $50 late charge from the security deposit and refund the remaining $125, provided the tool otherwise satisfies the return requirements below.

If the tool is not returned within 28 calendar days after JFO originally shipped the tool, the rental will convert to a final sale of the tool to Renter, and JFO may retain the full $190 initially paid as the purchase price and shipping charge for the tool. After that conversion, Renter will own the tool and will not be entitled to any refund. If Renter nevertheless returns the tool after the 28-day period, JFO may send the tool back to Renter upon payment of $10 shipping costs by Renter.

4. Deposit Return Requirements

To qualify for a full or partial refund of the security deposit, all of the following must be true: the same tool must be returned; the tool must be complete, undamaged, unmodified, clean, and in good working condition; Renter's return shipping date must fall within the 14-, 21-, or 28-day timeframes specified above; Renter must use the shipping label and service provided by JFO; and the tool must be actually received by JFO.

If these conditions are met, JFO will refund all or part of the security deposit, as specified above, within 5 business days after receiving and inspecting the tool.

5. Shipping Terms

JFO shall ship to Renter at the address that accompanies Renter’s payment. If Renter pays with PayPal or another electronic service that provides a shipping address, that address shall take precedence over any other address provided by Renter, unless JFO expressly agrees in writing to ship to a different address.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, JFO only ships to the 50 states of the United States and may reject any payments made with a shipping address outside the 50 states.

All shipping shall be done with shipping insurance sufficient to cover the $175 value of the tool. JFO bears the risk of loss until the carrier tracking shows the tool was delivered to Renter. Renter bears the risk of loss after delivery to Renter and until the tool is delivered back to JFO.

If the tool is lost or damaged during return shipping after delivery to Renter, JFO may retain the security deposit to the extent necessary to cover the loss, but JFO will reasonably cooperate with any carrier insurance claim. To the extent JFO actually receives insurance proceeds for the lost or damaged tool, JFO will credit those proceeds against amounts owed by Renter, less any unreimbursed costs, losses, or charges owed under these terms.

6. Renter Responsibility

Renter is responsible for determining whether the tool is suitable for Renter’s vehicle and intended use.

JFO provides the tool only and is not responsible for Renter’s repair work, vehicle condition, installation methods, personal injury, property damage, lost time, consequential damages, or any other loss arising from use or misuse of the tool. Renter should consult the applicable service manual or a qualified mechanic as needed.

7. Tool Condition; No Warranty

JFO represents only that the tool is believed to be usable for its intended purpose when shipped. The tool may show normal cosmetic wear from prior use. Cosmetic wear does not affect Renter’s obligations or JFO’s right to withhold deposit funds for new damage, loss, or failure to return the tool as specified. The tool is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Acceptance of Terms; Resolution of Disputes

Payment of the amounts described herein constitutes acceptance of these Tool Rental Terms. Any and all disputes arising out of these Terms or the transactions contemplated herein shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California, and Renter hereby irrevocably consents to the jurisdiction thereof. The prevailing party in any such dispute shall be entitled to reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
